Home sale prices in the Valley of the Sun are at an all-time high. As of late last year, metro Phoenix has led the nation in annual growth for 30 straight months. And the rental market isn’t far behind. Four Phoenix metro cities are in the top 10 nationally for rent increases. Scottsdale leads the way with a 31.1% annual increase. Mesa is close behind at 29.5%, Phoenix is at 27.9%, and Glendale’s rental rates went up 27.5%. For one bedroom apartments, the increase has been more dramatic. Gilbert leads the nation with a 117.8% increase year over year.
